Speakers Bureau

The staff of the Hope Council on Alcohol & Other Drug Abuse has expertise in several areas pertaining to alcohol and other drug intervention, prevention, and referral services. We are dedicated to enhancing knowledge through training and community education for all persons involved with, either directly or indirectly, alcohol and/or other drug abuse in the community. The educational programs provided by the staff of the Hope Council on Alcohol & Other Drug Abuse are designed to strengthen the knowledge and skills of individuals of all ages, service providers and professionals who are addressing substance use disorders. 

Educational Offerings

Most programs are experiential and all can be customized to meet the needs of your organization/agency/staff.  The following is a list of topics offered by the Hope Council on Alcohol & Other Drug Abuse presenters:

· I Have to Pay WHAT? The Impact of Driving Under the Influence (of either alcohol and/or other drugs)

· Signs and Symptoms of Substance Abuse and Dependency

· Effective Prevention Strategies

· Aspects of Substance Abuse Prevention (self-esteem building, communication skills, stress management, conflict resolution)

· The Effects of Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse on Family Systems

· Effective Parenting for Families with Substance Use Disorders

· Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drug Awareness Education Workshop
· “Drunk Buster” Impairment Goggle Presentation ~ This is an interactive presentation in order to drive home to participants from ages 15 through adult the impact of operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol
· For the Children: Understanding and Facilitating Recovery from Substance Abuse
