Hope Council on Alcohol & Other Drug Abuse, Inc.

Offering Hope | Helping to Heal

Welcome to the new Hope Council Website!

We at the Hope Council on Alcohol & Other Drug Abuse, Inc. are so excited to launch our new website! We, of course, hope you’ll use it as a resource, but we want it to be so much more, too.

We’re excited to have the KRW Tobacco-Free Coalition portion of the website available for you to see what that Coalition is doing. Now you can keep abreast of our activities and our successes as well as our challenges. Who knows, you might even want to be a part of the Coalition, and our new website can make that happen!

And, since you’re reading this, it’s likely that you’re one of the at least 33% of the population who are affected by a loved one’s substance use disorder. You now have all sorts of resources at your fingertips on our website, but here’s the one we’re really excited by: Sober Woman and Recovery Man! Social Action With An Attitude Greeting Cards are now ready for sending. If you’ve ever had a hard time finding just the right card, especially for a person in recovery from a substance use disorder, we have your solution! You can actually choose the subject, the picture, and the message, but we do the work…even sending out the card for you!

Another great aspect of this new website is how information gets to you. This website will be much more interactive than our website was in the past, and that means we need your help. We want your input about the Hope Council, and we also want it about our community. What areas are you seeing with regards to substance use disorders that need to be addressed? What suggestions do you have for us to make an impact? And, of course, how would you like to be involved?

Staff from the Hope Council on Alcohol & Other Drug Abuse probably aren’t the most popular guests at cocktail parties. But, we are dedicated and passionate about the mission of the agency: to reduce the impact of alcohol and other drug abuse in our community by providing education, prevention, intervention, and referral services.

Despite our dedication and passion, we are still a small – but mighty staff – and so we need YOUR support in carrying our flag. Don’t forget to check back regularly to see how we can use your help!
