Part-time Intoxicated Driver Program Assessor Job Posting
The Hope Council on Alcohol & Other Drug Abuse, Inc., Kenosha, is in search of a dedicated individual who is credentialed by the State of Wisconsin as a substance Abuse Counselor or SAC-It or meets the definition of professional as defined by Wisconsin HFS 61.06:
physician; psychiatrist; child psychiatrist; psychologist;
social worker; RN or LPN;
physical, occupational, recreational, music, art, speech, language therapist;
teacher; rehabilitation counselor;
vocational counselor; clergy; or communications/educational expert.
Experience/Qualifications: Must have knowledge about substance abuse, experience in performing assessments and facilitating education to small and medium groups. Specifically, must have the following education:
Substance Abuse Interviewing Skills (6 hours)
Knowledge of evidence-based Substance Abuse Counseling Techniques (6 hours)
Substance Abuse Case Management (6 hours)
Knowledge of psychoactive substances (6 hours)
Substance Abuse Professional Responsibilities/Ethics (6 hours)
Trauma Informed Care (3 hours)
Cultural Competence (3 hours)
Duties and Responsibilities of the Job Include:
Conduct court-ordered and other AODA assessments, develop Driver Safety Plans, provide case management support for individuals and treatment providers involved in the Intoxicated Driver Program. Also, provide brief interventions and teach AODA education/prevention classes and facilitate support groups for various populations.
Pay is $14.00 – $16.00 per hour; position is part time, 10 hours per week. Tuesday and Thurdsay evening availability is preferred.
