Work we do together

KRW Tobacco-Free Coalition

Hope Council coordinates the KRW Tobacco-Free Coalition — a tri-county coalition serving Kenosha, Racine, and Walworth counties — working to educate about the hazards of commercial tobacco and secondhand smoke, promote cessation, and support youth in choosing a tobacco-free life. Initiatives include Wisconsin Wins retailer compliance, Clear Gains smoke-free housing, and candidate education on tobacco legislation.

Kenosha County Substance Abuse Coalition

Hope Council convenes the Kenosha County Substance Abuse Coalition — a community-wide coalition addressing alcohol and all other substances affecting Kenosha County. Bringing together public health, schools, treatment providers, courts, law enforcement, recovery organizations, businesses, faith communities, and residents, the coalition works to prevent substance use before it starts, reduce stigma, coordinate services across the county, and strengthen the local conditions that make recovery possible.

How Hope Council is funded

Hope Council’s programs and services are supported through a combination of government grants, private donations, corporate and community sponsorships, and event fundraising. This mix of support allows Hope Council to serve people regardless of insurance status or ability to pay, and to maintain services that would otherwise be out of reach for many community members.
