Alcohol & Drug Testing
Whether a court ordered it, an employer requires it, a custody case calls for it, or you want answers for your own reasons — testing at Hope Council is straightforward and fair. No referral needed. Fees published up front, no surprises. One phone call to schedule, and you will be treated with respect the entire time.
How it works
Testing is by appointment only — call Hope Council at 262-658-8166 to schedule. Tell us what the test is for, and staff will make sure you get the right one.
All tests are self-pay. Cash, checks, money orders, and credit cards are accepted, and payment is made in full before testing is completed.
There is a $25 fee for testing appointment no-shows, and refund requests are subject to a $25 processing fee. If something comes up, call ahead — it costs nothing to reschedule with notice.
Which test do you need?
Direct Biomarker
The longer look back. Laboratory testing that can show weeks or months of history — nails or hair for drugs or alcohol (4–6 month window), PEth (bloodspot for alcohol only, 3–5 week window).
Urine Testing
The standard screen. A 12-panel urine screen (non-witnessed), with laboratory confirmation available when a result needs to hold up.
Breathalyzer
The right-now answer. Alcohol-only breath testing that shows use within hours — the quickest, lowest-cost option there is.
Child Guard
For a child’s environment. Specialized hair testing that can show whether a child has been exposed to substances in their surroundings — most often used in custody and visitation situations.
Testing fees — published up front

Straight answers about what a test proves
Every test looks back a different distance
Hours for a breathalyzer. Weeks for bloodspot (PEth) alcohol only. Months for nails or hair (alcohol or other substances). The right test depends on what the result needs to show — not on which one costs the least.
A screen is not the same as proof
A screen indicates possible presence; laboratory confirmation verifies it. If a court, employer, or agency will rely on your result, you can rest assured that all biomarker testing conducted by Hope Council includes both steps.
We test. We don’t judge or interpret.
Hope Council conducts the testing and reports the results — nothing more, nothing less. What a result means for your case, your job, or your health belongs with your attorney, your employer, or your medical provider. What it never changes is how you are treated here.
Not sure which test? Just ask.
Call 262-658-8166 and describe what the test is for. Staff sort this out every day and will point you to the panel that fits — no lecture included.
