Individual & Group Counseling

Sometimes the next right step is a counselor: a private, professional space to work on substance use patterns, recovery goals, and the life around them. Hope Council offers Substance Use Disorder counseling at reduced rates — individual and group options — because cost should not be the thing standing between a person and the help that fits.

Counseling at a glance

Reduced rates

Substance Use Disorder counseling is offered at reduced rates. Rate and payment details are confirmed when you reach out — you will know what it costs before you commit.

Individual and group options

One-on-one sessions and group formats, matched to what you are working on and what feels workable.

For where you actually are

Active use, early recovery, long recovery, court or referral goals — counseling meets the situation you have, not the one you are supposed to have.

Confidential

Alcohol and drug services at Hope Council are protected by federal and state confidentiality laws. Nothing is shared without your signed Release of Information.

What people work on here

Substance use patterns

Understanding the role substances play in your life — and what changing that role could look like, at your pace.

Recovery goals and relapse prevention

Building a recovery that holds: coping skills, triggers, structure, and a plan for the hard days.

The life around the substance use

Stress, relationships, work, family — the things substance use tangles with, and the things recovery has to fit into.

Court and referral goals

When counseling is part of a Driver Safety Plan, agreement, or referral requirement, sessions serve your requirement and you at the same time.

What to expect

Reaching out is the hard part; the rest is a process. Call 262-658-8166 or submit a referral, and staff will walk you through scheduling, forms, what the first session looks like, and the rate that applies to you. No surprises, no judgment, no waiting to be lectured — that is not what happens here.

Common Questions

What does counseling cost?2026-07-08T20:57:17-05:00

Substance Use Disorder counseling is offered at reduced rates, with the rate and payment details confirmed when you reach out. If cost is a concern, say so — navigating it is part of the help.

Individual or group — how do I choose?2026-07-08T20:57:42-05:00

You don’t have to choose alone. Staff will talk through both with you; many people use different formats at different points.

Is counseling the same as peer support?2026-07-08T20:58:00-05:00

No — and they work well together. Counseling is professional clinical support; peer support is no-cost help from a Certified Peer Specialist with lived experience. Plenty of people use both.

My Driver Safety Plan requires counseling. Does this count?2026-07-08T20:58:31-05:00

If your plan or referral involves counseling, contact Hope Council with your paperwork — staff will confirm what your requirement calls for and whether services here fit it.
