Recovery & Support
Recovery can start with a question, a conversation, a meeting, a phone call — or with someone who loves you refusing to give up. These pages cover the practical side: what the options actually are, how to support someone you love, the words that help instead of harm, and what to do when someone isn’t ready. Steady, human, and judgment-free, because that’s what works.

When you need more than a page
If someone is in immediate danger, call 911. If someone may be overdosing, call 911, give naloxone if available, and stay with the person until help arrives. For mental health or substance use crisis support, call or text 988, or call the local 24/7 crisis line at 262-657-7188. For everything else: 262-658-8166.
