What We Do

Support can start before you know what you need

Assessment and Referral

Hope Council provides confidential assessments in a welcoming, nonjudgmental space for people fulfilling court, licensing-board, employer, or other referral requirements, and helps people understand possible next steps.

No-Cost Peer Support

Peer support, recovery coaching, and navigation connect you with someone who has been there, trained to listen, support, and give hope without judgment. This support is available at no cost for people in any stage of recovery, people seeking support, family members, and people unsure where to start.

Family and Loved-One Support

The Loved Ones Support Group is a free, confidential, welcoming support group for adult family members and friends. Hope Council also offers guidance for responding, setting boundaries, and staying connected when someone is not ready for help.

Risk Reduction & Prevention

Hope Council offers no-cost supplies including naloxone and fentanyl and xylazine test strips through the 24/7 Public Health Vending Machine and the front desk, along with prevention education and substance information.

Each person’s path is different

Each person’s treatment process is unique. A typical process often starts with an assessment to determine the level of treatment that fits.

Levels of care

  • Outpatient treatment.
  • Intensive outpatient.
  • Residential treatment.
  • Medication-assisted treatment (MAT), which combines traditional treatment and medications.

Detox Considerations

Some programs require detox before treatment begins, and insurance plans may have their own requirements. Detox options can include a detox facility or emergency-room support.

Stopping some substances suddenly, including alcohol and benzodiazepines, can be dangerous. Talk with a medical professional before attempting to detox on your own.

Hope Council service fees

Peer support, recovery coaching, and navigation are no-cost. The following Hope Council services have fees. Clear information up front helps you plan; bring your questions, and staff will walk you through what applies to you.

Intoxicated Driver Program

Assessment fee $350.00
Non-compliance fee $100.00
Re-Assessment / Amendment (active and eligible plans only) $250.00
Extension fee $100.00
Returned check $40.00
Refund processing fee $25.00
Out of State / Additional State Package add $250.00

Fees can be paid in person or over the phone; payment in full is required prior to scheduling an appointment. There is no fee for cancellations made 48 hours or more in advance of the appointment. A $100 fee applies to all assessment appointments canceled with less than 48 hours’ notice and to all no-shows.

Additional costs will vary depending on whether your Driver Safety Plan involves education and/or counseling. You are responsible for all education costs. If your Driver Safety Plan involves counseling, costs for care are based on your insurance coverage and your ability to pay.

UDAAP

State law permits that fees be associated with all aspects of the Intoxicated Driver Program process. The following fees apply in Kenosha County:

8-hour course $175
12-hour course $265

Payment in full is required to finalize registration and can be made online or by phone. All no-shows and class transfers are subject to a $50 fee. All refund requests are subject to a $25 processing fee.

Alcohol and Other Drug Testing

Testing is conducted by appointment only. To schedule, contact Hope Council at 262-658-8166. All tests are self-pay. Cash, checks, money orders, and credit cards are accepted. Payment must be made in full before testing will be completed.

EtG (alcohol only, nails or hair, 4-6 month detection window) $115
PEth (alcohol only, bloodspot, 3-5 week detection window) $115
5-panel drug test $100
12-panel drug test $200
EtG + 5-panel combination $200
EtG + 12-panel combination $300
Breathalyzer (alcohol only, within hours of use) $25
Urine screen, 12-panel (non-witnessed); confirmation testing available for an additional $100 $50

Yes, in certain circumstances. Hope Council provides outpatient substance use treatment for individuals participating in the Intoxicated Driver Program (IDP). We also offer assessments, diversion services, testing, peer support, recovery coaching, prevention, and support for families and loved ones. When another level or type of care is the best fit, we connect individuals to a network of local treatment providers.
